One of the latter-day Jacks (1982) - not that you'd know it to look at it. There's a timeless quality to the Taylor brothers' frames that makes every one of them shout 'modern classic'. Or perhaps 'oldschool modernism' is more apt. There's nothing not to like about Taylor frames, and more often than not something to make them stand out. On this British randonneuse the (presumably custom-specced) integrated saddlebag support does that job admirably. Elegant functionality through and through. Original flam red paint, de rigeur double box lining, but an unfortunate (storied?!) cosmetic dent in the top tube which could be rectified during a later repaint if need be.
